Marie Pijanowski has been a facilitator in the creation of 10 marital unions. The most recent is one I put together 3.5 years ago. I just found this out in early April 2010 and am invited to the October 2010 wedding.

"Marie Pijanowski wins the big award in my book! I will explain. She enabled me to meet my husband by creating singles meeting opportunities at the large upscale fitness club in which we worked. Marie encouraged this organization to become more social and by creating programs such as Ballroom Dance 101 she was able to bring people together in a fun environment. Marie suggested that I sign up for the series of lessons and she would find a partner for me. Well, she found Fred, my future husband. After weeks of walking by Marie's sign-up flier for the class, he decided to ask her to find him a partner. She put us together saying, "I thought you'd like each other". We began dating in April 2006 and were married.
Marie is extremely personable. I am sure if you Googled the words "up-beat and positive", a picture of Marie would appear on your screen. She is so good at creating opportunities for single people to meet. I know of three couples whose union via Marie has resulted in marriage. Keep up the good work Marie, you rock!

Marie's Story
After a long marriage, I divorced. Back in the singles scene as a 30 something, I was in unchartered territory. Long story, short....after I became disenchanted with this scene, I threw myself into a new learned skill, ballroom dancing, & unbeknownst to me, started dancing with my future husband. I was my total self with him because I didn't view him as "my type" or "my profile" ... we have now been married 4 1/2 years. When I was pursuing my interests, making my self happy and getting outside of my comfort zone, I stumbled upon & then married my soulmate. Thus, I am passionate about creating events for interaction, and advocating continuous personal and professional development whether you are single, part of a couple, and/or as a professional. Keep growing to move forward.
